THE WEDDING
In the days leading up to the actual wedding, other than preparing like mad, we’ll also be hosting a bunch of activities around Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty region! Kayaking, canoeing, barbecuing, swimming, and general fun summer stuff. We’d love for you to join us! You can use the link here to join a WhatsApp group where we’ll organise a lot of this.
The schedule
Saturday 4 February -
the day before
-
Immediate family will take part in a small rehearsal at 4pm, at the Pahoia Beach house
-
For everyone attending the wedding, a ‘night before’ dinner with speeches will be held at Clarence Bistro in Tauranga, at 7pm. The dress code will be smart casual. Use this address to get there:
51 Willow Street
Tauranga 3110 -
The restaurant has a small carpark. If this is full, there is plenty of street parking in the area, or the council parking building on the corner of Spring and Durham is open 24 hours and free at weekends.
Sunday 5 February -
the wedding day!
-
The wedding and reception will take place at the Pahoia Beach House. Please be there for 4.30pm - and don’t forget to account for summer traffic! To get there, put this address in Google Maps or your GPS:
41A Pahoia Beach Road
Whakamārama 3172 -
There is public parking around the corner at Pahoia Domain, 36 Pahoia Beach Road - a two minute walk from the house.
-
Instead of a formal sit-down dinner, there will be plenty of food and drink served throughout the evening with all but the strangest dietary options catered for!
-
The wedding will be by the beach and the reception will be in grass, so we’d highly recommend not wearing stilettos.
-
Don’t forget your sunscreen! We’ll have some available at the beach house as well, but there is nothing worse than being sunburnt / having sunstroke while trying to enjoy a wedding reception.
-
Taxis will be available to get you to and from your accommodation if you’re drinking - we will add all the local cab company numbers to the WhatsApp chat nearer the time. They will be on standby.
Monday 6 February -
the morning after
Waitangi Day public holiday
-
At 11am, we will be hosting a pool party breakfast barbecue back at Pahoia Beach House, so we can nurse our hangovers and process all the gossip from the night before! Bring ‘togs’ (kiwi for trunks/swimsuits) and wear whatever you’re comfortable in - it’ll be a shirt and shorts kind of morning!
-
Use this address to get to the beach house:
