Auckland Airport

It’s a long flight to New Zealand - and the airport is a good 20 miles out of the city! There are plenty of good choices if you feel you might need a night to refresh on arrival, or on your way out of the country.

Note: The only airport hotel with pedestrian access to the terminals is the Novotel. For all other hotels you’ll need to get a taxi to the terminals, or you can use the airport’s Yellow Bus transfer service.

Novotel Auckland Airport

A four-star hotel right at the international terminal, with runway views an option. It’s currently closed and being used as a Covid-19 quarantine facility, but it will be open again soon with the end of quarantine rules!

Ibis Budget Auckland Airport

Located just a couple of minutes from the terminals within the airport precinct, this is a functional, budget-oriented hotel designed for those looking for a night’s sleep before or after a long flight.

This is a good, functional budget option - with a giant fibreglass kiwi bird on the roof! Close to the cluster of hotels off Kirkbride Road, a few minutes from the terminals.
